Summer has yet to arrive – but Farnham Town Council is already thinking about Christmas.
The council is looking at investing in new Christmas lights to boost the town’s festive spirit as some are in desperate need of replacing.
The plan is to install new lights in the town centre and move the older working lights further out, making the area a veritable winter wonderland.
The big switch-on will take place on November 16 with town mayor, Cllr Brodie Mauluka, doing the honours.
A programme of fun activities including a nativity performance and music from town schools and theatre groups is already in the pipeline.
Children can enjoy fairground rides, face-painting and a craft table and children who have been good this year will receive a free gift from Santa.
The event will also include festive stalls selling gifts and crafts, so make a note in your calendars.
