Police arrested a man after finding eight bags of Class A drugs inside a vehicle they searched in Tongham.

A 28-year-old from the West Midlands was arrested last weekend after being followed by officers from Aldershot.

Officers were alerted to some suspicious activity, linked to the same vehicle, on Weybourne Road around 10pm last Saturday, October 26.

Police spoke to the driver and searched the vehicle after the car was driven across the border into Surrey and came to a natural stop on Grange Road.

A spokesperson for Hampshire Police said: “Officers carried out a search of the vehicle and located eight bags of suspected Class A drugs and £120 in cash.

The spokesperson added: “All items were seized.”

The driver from Rowley Regis was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of Class A, before being bailed pending further enquiries.
